A vigil was held Wednesday night to remember the 8-month-old baby girl who died after she was allegedly beaten by her father.
Dozens of people filled Westfield’s Park Square to remember Lily Torres. People at the vigil lit candles in her memory.
Lily’s father, 28-year-old Daniel Torres of Westfield is facing several charges in the death of his daughter, including assault and and battery on a child with injury.
Tianna Seymour, Lily’s mother, told 22News, “We want it to be about her we want her to be remembered for what happened to her not him to remembered for what he did. We want to send her love so that’s what we’re doing.”
Torres is being held on one million dollars bail, and is due back in court August 28th for a pre-trial hearing.
