SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A driver was cited after crashing her car into a home’s front porch on St. James Avenue in Springfield Wednesday morning.

Springfield Police Department spokesman Ryan Walsh told 22News the driver said she attempted to avoid another car and lost control of her own before crashing into the porch.

The homeowner, Michael Worrell, told 22New it’s not the first time this has happened.

“There is definitely something that needs to be done,” Worrell said. “This is the third time that the actual house has been hit. They also hit my brother’s car, they’ve crashed into my neighbor’s house, they crashed into that house over there, you can see it they haven’t even finished fixing it yet. I don’t know what to do, a guard rail, maybe? A flashing yellow light? I don’t know.”

Walsh said the driver received minor injuries in the crash.
