Car fire on I-91 south in Holyoke, traffic moving again Tuesday

Hampden County

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Traffic was stopped on I-91 southbound in Holyoke between Exits 18 and 17 due to a car fire Tuesday afternoon.

Our 22News crew was caught in the traffic for roughly an hour and could see black smoke coming from the vehicle. Around 2:00 p.m., drivers were allowed to begin passing by, once the fire was more controlled.

22News has contacted Massachusetts State Police for additional information but has yet to hear back.
