Car on fire closed part of I-90 East in Ludlow Thursday

LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) – If you were traveling eastbound on I-90 in Ludlow Thursday evening, you might have dealt with some traffic backups due to a car fire.

State Police told 22News no traffic was not allowed on the right lane of the eastbound section of I-90 at the 57 mile-marker. The car fire was reported shortly after 6 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

A photo posted on Twitter by State Police shows a white vehicle on fire and black smoke covering the highway. The right lane has since reopened.
