Casino dealer informational sessions held at MGM Springfield

Hampden County

The MGM Casino hosted information sessions about their upcoming casino dealer classes Tuesday.

The Massachusetts Casino Career Training Institute teamed up with Holyoke Community College and Springfield Technical Community College to run the sessions which began Tuesday and will run through Thursday, September 6.

The session was held at the MGM Career Center to inform people about future casino dealer classes that will begin September 10.

The classes include three blackjack classes that run Monday through Friday and cost $399 per person.

“It’s all about coming to school, learning a trade, learning a skill, getting a license, and getting a job,” said Paul Sheehan, student services at HCC and STCC.

MGM says any person with at least two table game certifications is eligible to audition with the casino.
