CCC holds marijuana listening session at WNEU School of Law

Hampden County

Members of the Cannabis Control Commission held a listening session Tuesday at the Western New England University School of Law.

The listening session was held to get input on possible revisions to regulations governing adult use marijuana in the state.

One man looking to obtain a license for his business told 22News what he hopes to see within the retail pot industry here in Massachusetts.

Eric Schwartz, Co-Founder of Farm Bug Cooperative, told 22News, “A freer market place quite honestly. I think that what we’ve seen, particularly for our organization, is a lot of restrictions at the local level. These restrictions make it extremely hard for small scale businesses to get up and running.”

Among the topics addressed, marijuana home delivery and consumption of pot in designated establishments similar to cigar bars were in discussion.
