Grattan Street has fully reopened after a Chicopee man was hit by a private truck with a plow attached Friday evening.
Chicopee police spokesman officer Mike Wilk told 22News police and medical personnel were called to Grattan Street around 5:40 p.m., after the accident happened near the Lucky Strike.
Wilk said upon arrival, officers found a 72-year-old man with serious injuries, possibly life-threatening.
The Chicopee man was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, Wilk told 22News.
Grattan Street was closed for more than two hours, while the accident reconstruction team determined what led up to the accident.
Police are still looking into the incident and no further details were provided.
