One person dead after Chicopee mobile home fire overnight

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – A man has died after Chicopee firefighters worked overnight to put out a fire in a mobile home.

The mobile home on Quail Dr. caught fire just before midnight at the Bluebird Acres Mobile Home Park. When firefighters were able to steady the fire and get inside the mobile home, they found an adult man that had died in the fire, according to Department of Fire Services Spokesperson Jake Wark. The man is not being identified at this time.

There is no official word at this time on the cause of the fire. The Chicopee Fire Department, State Police Fire & Explosion Investigation Unit assigned to the State Fire Marshal’s office, and the Hampden County District Attorney’s office are investigating the deadly fire.
