CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The police in Chicopee released their review for the month of September.

According to the Chicopee Police Department, officers were called for service 5,349 times, and 470 reports were taken. Police assisted with 144 crashes in the city and 460 citations were issued. There were a total of 71 people arrested in Chicopee for the month of September.

In August, 2,951 calls were made for service, and 462 reports were taken. There were 269 tickets issued for speeding out of a total of 512 citations. Police assisted with 145 crashes in the city. There were a total of 82 arrested according to a Facebook video post the police shared in conjunction with the community events held during the month.
