Chicopee police chief released from hospital

Hampden County

Chicopee Police Chief William Jebb, who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident last week has been released from the hospital.

Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk made the announcement on the department’s Facebook page Sunday afternoon.

Chief Jebb was found lying on Grattan Street, near the I-391 on-ramp in Chicopee, after an accident on his motorcycle last Thursday.

According to Wilk, Jebb is at home recovering and is “overwhelmed with all of the community support he’s received.”

He says he looks forward to being back at work as soon as possible.
