Chicopee police chief returns to work after serious motorcycle accident

Chicopee’s police chief is back at work, just three weeks after being involved in a serious motorcycle crash.

Chief William Jebb was found lying on Grattan Street near the I-391 on-ramp in Chicopee, after an accident on his motorcycle July 19. He was off duty at the time of the accident.

Jebb was seriously hurt in the crash and spent days recovering in the hospital.

Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk told 22News the chief returned to work at the department Monday morning.

State police are still investigating the crash.
