CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Chicopee’s first medical marijuana dispensary opened Friday.
Mass Alternative Care, located at 1247 East Main Street, opened its $12 million facility with a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday morning.
The dispensary’s general manager Kevin Collins told 22News, the medical marijuana will be available to people with a range of disorders.
“Aids, Glaucoma, Cancer, PTSD, Chronic Pain, and other conditions that’s approved by a doctor,” Collins said.
Chicopee Mayor Richard Kos told 22News it’s the ideal location for the cultivation and processing center since there are no schools nearby.
According to the company’s website, Mass Alternative Care is also scheduled to open locations in Amherst and Lee.
