Drivers are being asked to avoid a section of College Highway until further notice after a truck caught fire Thursday afternoon.
The road is expected to be closed for about two hours while police and fire officials work to put out the truck fire in the area of Valvoline Express.
According to Southwick Police, the fire is in the refuge storage section of the truck making it “very difficult to extinguish.”
Traffic is being diverted at College Highway at Feeding Hills Road and College Highway at Sunnyside Road.
