LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) – A gas leak caused temporary ramp and road closures in Ludlow Monday morning.
According to Ludlow police, the gas leak happened on Harding Avenue, near Center Street. Columbia Gas spokesperson Tracy Stefanowicz told 22News a contractor hit a gas line, causing the leak. She said that there is a crew there now working to make repairs.
Police reopened Exit 7 on the Mass Pike and Center Street to through traffic just before noon. The temporarily closures caused heavy delays on the highway and Center Street late Monday morning.
