LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) - A longtime Ludlow shoe store is closing its doors.
After 22 years, Comfort Shoes, located in Ludlow's Big Y Plaza, is closing for good.
The decision to close the store was made based on the fact that many consumers prefer shopping online which leaves the opportunity for future growth somewhat limited.
22News spoke with the store's owner who said what she'll miss the most about her business is the customers.
"You end up developing such a long term relationship," said Donna Wishart. "They know I have kids they know I have grandchildren, I know about their life, you won't forget that you really won't."
Customers coming in one last time told 22News, they're stocking up before the store closes.
Comfort Shoes will close in a few weeks.
