Connecticut restaurant owner wants to open pasta company in East Longmeadow

Hampden County

A Connecticut restaurant owner hopes to open a new business in East Longmeadow.

The owner of Golden Irene’s in East Windsor wants to open a Redstone Pasta Company in the former Pasquale’s on North Main Street.

The town approved the transfer of Pasquale’s liquor license, but the owner told 22News the restaurant opening is still contingent on approval from the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission.

“I mean we could use sit down restaurants everywhere,” said Steven Williams of East Longmeadow. “There’s a lot of traffic down that way. I think it will bring more value to the city definitely.”

Williams proposed restaurant would employ more than twenty people, and make all their pasta from scratch.

The ABCC is expected to make a decision sometime next month.
