SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Firefighters worked to put out a car fire in Springfield Saturday evening.
Captain Brian Tetreault told 22News, crews were called to the area of 107 Groveland Street just before 9 p.m. for a report of a car heavily involved with fire.
Captain Tetreault said crews were able to put out the fire quickly and no injuries were reported.
Springfield Arson & Bomb Squad determined the cause of the fire to be a mechanical malfunction.
