Crews repair low hanging wires in Holland after tractor trailer incident

HOLLAND, Mass. (WWLP) – A tractor trailer was left with heavy damage after hitting telephone wires and pulling them down.

According to the Holland Police Chief Bryan Haughey, as the tractor trailer was driving down Allen Hill Road, it got caught on some Verizon telephone wires and pulled them, causing the wires to hang low.

In a photo posted by the department, the tractor trailer was heavily damaged by the incident.

As of 2:30 p.m., National Grid have fixed the low hanging wires near 8 Allen Hill Road.

There were no power outages due to the accident and the driver of the truck will not be facing any violations.
