Cultural celebration at Hibernian Irish Night in Holyoke

Hampden County

The annual Hibernian Irish Night in Holyoke celebrates the love for the Irish.

The celebration is in memory of Daniel Curran, who founded The Ancient Order of Hibernians to celebrate Irish culture and Irish heritage.

Saturday night’s event featured Boston’s Noel Henry Irish Show Band, raffles and a traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner.

Chairman Joesph O’Connor told 22News, “The biggest take away of tonight’s event is the Irish culture and the Irish heritage, and the community coming out to just enjoying a good night.”

Nearly 400 people attended Saturday night’s dinner.
