Displays, lawn concert at Springfield Museums planned for final day of Navy Week

Saturday will be the final day of performances and demonstrations by the U.S. Navy in honor of Navy Week in Springfield. 

Navy Week statred Monday and will continue through Saturday, with outreach events planned for each day of the week in Springfield and the surrounding communities. 

According to the Navy website, Navy weeks are hosted across the U.S. and designed to give people the opportunity to learn about the Navy, its people, and its importance. 

Saturday’s events will take place at the Springfield Museums from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and include static and interactive displays along with a chance to meet the chief of the USS Springfield. 

There will also be a lawn concert from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the museums with music by the Navy Band Northeast.
