Downtown Springfield residents to improve quality of life in area

Hampden County

Downtown Springfield residents are putting a new focus on improving their quality of life.

The Armoury-Quadrangle Civic Association’s goal is to preserve and improve the character of the downtown Springfield area.

The association’s president detailed the nonprofit’s mission.

“We are agents for change,” said Charlie Knight, president of Armoury-Quadrangle Civic Association. “We want positive change. As you look at our e-blasts you’ll see there’s a whole lot of things people can go to to help move for a better city.”

The association participates in the annual Keep Springfield Beautiful cleanup, which takes place April 28 from 8 a.m. to noon.

They’re meeting at Medina’s Supermarket on Main Street.
