Longmeadow celebrated the 8th night of Hanukkah Sunday night with ice….a menorah made of ice that is.
The menorah lighting was held at the Longmeadow Shops at Bliss Road Sunday evening. Dozens of families came out to the community event, which featured Hanukkah music, hot coco, and even a fire juggling show.
22News spoke with Rabbi Yakov Wolff, who shared what he hopes others get out of the holiday event.
“The message for every single one of us is that with one act of kindness, with one little candle, we can bring light into this world, bring peace and harmony to all,” said Rabbi Wolff.
The annual celebration welcomes the community to join — at no cost.
