Dozens laid off from Savage Arms in Westfield

Hampden County

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Dozens are without jobs after recent layoffs at Savage Arms in Westfield.

According to Savage Arms Spokesperson Rocky Krivijanski, the layoffs are part of a normal seasonal adjustment for the Westfield-based gunmaker.

Krivijanski said the company expects that many of the people laid off will return around July or August during the busy season.

Just over 50 people were laid off, and more than half of them, according to Krivijanski, volunteered to take the layoff.
