A popular program at the Chicopee Boys and Girls Club has been temporarily suspended.
It’s called the Drop In Program. It serves dozens of children from kindergarten through 8th grade with the daily boys and girls club experience.
Executive Director Jason Reed told 22News, there’s been a big increase in the number of parents applying for the program.
“It’s about a quarter of our membership that makes up the Drop In Program, once they come intro our program it’s a valuable portion of our population,” said Reed.
Reed said program will be resumed as soon as he’s able to train additional staff.
