FedEx truck crashes into Springfield house, 3 people taken to hospital

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Three people were taken to the hospital following an accident that caused a FedEx truck to crash into the side of a building on Carew Street Friday night. 

Springfield Fire Department spokesman Dennis Leger told 22News police and fire crews were called to 272 Carew St. for a two-car accident with injuries around 6:19 p.m. 

One vehicle hit a building and code enforcement officials were called to inspect the damage. 

Leger said the three people taken to an area hospital were occupants of a sedan involved in the accident. Their injuries were unknown as of early Friday night.
