The American Classic Restaurant in Feeding Hills hosted a fundraiser for Sue Caroleo, a former employee who was diagnosed with MS three years ago.
MS is a chronic disease that attacks the nervous system. Symptoms include numbness, muscle weakness and paralysis.
American Classic owner, Carlos Silva told 22News he hosted the fundraiser to raise money for Caroleo to help with her symptoms.
“She needed some stuff like a handicap car, wheelchairs, motorized wheelchairs. Stuff like that,” said Silva.
100% of the restaurant’s proceeds and tips on Saturday go to Carolelo, who worked at American Classic for more than 20 years.
