Final goodbyes said to Kayla Escalante

INDIAN ORCHARD, Mass. (WWLP) - Loved ones said their final goodbyes Thursday to 27 year-old Kayla Escalante.

Escalante was one of three women found dead inside the home of Stewart Weldon last month.

Her funeral service was held Thursday morning at the Rattell Funeral Home in Indian Orchard, where visiting hours were held on Wednesday. Her ashes were buried at St. Aloysius Cemetery.

The family said in a tribute shared through the funeral home Wednesday night that Escalante will be missed by her entire family, but especially by her young daughter.

The remains of two other women, Ernestine Ryans and America Lyden, were also found at 1333 Page Boulevard. Weldon is currently being held on $2 million bail in connection to two separate kidnapping cases. No charges have yet been filed in connection to the deaths of Escalante, Lyden, or Ryans.
