LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) – The Ludlow Fire Department put out a fire on Rogers Ave. Thursday night.

Ludlow firefighters were called to an attic fire on Rogers Ave. around 6:51 p.m. Thursday night. Firefighters arrived to heavy smoke coming from the eves of the three-story home. Crews were able to put out the fire after a 30 minute battle. The second and third floors were heavily damaged by the fire.

Five people were inside the building at the time of the fire. All residents made it safely out of the home. The American Red Cross is assisting the residents. No one was injured.

Crews from Chicopee, Granby, Wilbraham and Westover Air Reserve Base Fire Departments assisted in putting out the fire. The Ludlow Fire Department along with the State Fire Marshall’s Office are investigating the incident but it does not appear to be suspicious at this time.
