West Springfield McDonald’s temporarily closed after grease fire

Hampden County

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass (WWLP) – The McDonald’s in West Springfield is temporarily closed after a grease fire Friday morning.

West Springfield Deputy Fire Chief, Michael Culver, told 22News the call for the fire at the Memorial Avenue location came in at 6:48 a.m.

Culver said no one was hurt during the fire.

When our 22News crew got to the restaurant Friday morning they could see firefighters working on the roof and using big fans to get the smoke out of the building.

The restaurant is not currently open, according to Culver, but is hoping to reopen for business on Saturday.
