SPRINGFIELD, Mass (WWLP) – The Springfield Rescue Mission held its annual graduation for its Men’s New Life Rehabilitation Program.

Five men were honored at Tuesday night’s event held at the Pioneer Valley Christian Academy in Springfield.

The 12-month program helps men with addiction and other issues to restore their lives through Biblical principles.

One of the men who graduated Tuesday night told 22News the impact this program has had on him, “Oh it changed my life completely. I mean I was homeless, broken, on drugs, alcohol. This place changed my life,” said Richard Suarez.

The men who graduated will now enter the Transitional Living Program.
