Football fans pack local bars to cheer on the Patriots

With the Patriots set to face the Kansas City Chiefs next weekend local Pats fans say they’re ready for another win.

When it comes to watching the Patriots, Chicopee’s Rumbleseat Bar & Grille is the place to be for football fanatics.

Dedicated Patriots fans even some life-long fans cheered on their team Sunday afternoon as they went head-to-head with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Many of them told 22News, it’s tradition to watch the Patriots play at the Rumbleseat.

“To be a Patriots fan is not just a game for us, it’s like, it’s family to us,” said Evander Machuca of Holyoke. “We come here and I see people come around and they’re family, and it means a lot to us.”

Coming out to watch the Patriots at Chicopee’s Rumbleseat Bar & Grille feels like home for many local Pats fans.

“Every time I come here there’s a loyal fan base,” Justin Porter of Chicopee told 22News. “You just feel at home when you come to Rumbleseat.”

The Patriots beat the Kansas City Chiefs 43 to 40 during Week 6 of the 2018 season. But come January 20th the two teams will meet again and fans say the Pats are ready for a win!

Local fans told 22News, they’ll be back next weekend to watch the Patriots bring home a win in the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kickoff is at 6:40 p.m.
