A high school wrestling match in Holyoke doubled as a fundraiser for veterans in need.
The Holyoke High School Knights wrestling team held their 2nd annual veterans appreciation match in the Holyoke High School gym Friday afternoon.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to Vet-Air, a non-profit organization that provides veterans with transportation to and from medical appointments.
Head Coach Vin Silano told 22News “We talk about being warriors all the time. Their main job is to be a warrior for us and we want to give back even if it’s small. We want to give back as best as we can.”
Holyoke High faced off against Minnechaug, Frontier and Mohawk Regional School.
