House fire on Somers Road in Hampden

HAMPDEN, Mass. (WWLP) – Multiple fire departments were called to a house fire on Somers Road in Hampden Monday morning.

Hampden Police Dispatcher Robert Lauer told 22News the fire happened at 133 Somers Road and was ‘fully active’ when firefighters got there.

Somers Road was temporarily closed while crews worked on the fire. Hampden Police Detective Scott Trombly told 22News they had to use portable water tanks as a source of water.

Firefighters from Wilbraham, Monson, East Longmeadow, and Somers worked with Hampden firefighters to put out the fire.
