Sunday was the last day of a weekend long tag sale at the Hu Ke Lau in Chicopee.
The tag sale was held to get rid of some remaining items following the restaurant’s June auction. The Hu Ke Lau closed this past April after more than 50 years of business.
Dozens of people showed up to purchase novelty cookware, tiki chairs and even Hawaiian shirts.
Billy Yee, the manager of the Hu Ke Lau told 22News he was surprised by the turnout, “It was busy yesterday and surprisingly with the weather outside there was a lot of traffic today. Everything was moving very quickly.”
Yee said the remaining items from this weekend’s tag sale will be donated.
