SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - It's the end of an era for Springfield's performing arts theater.
CityStage held its final live performance Friday night.
Hundreds filled the intimate downtown venue to see Moondance, a Van Morrison Tribute concert. 22News spoke with one concert-goer before the curtain came down for the final time.
“I think we saw them at Symphony Hall,” said Lou Conte of Agawam. “Pretty sure they were at Symphony Hall. It was great. This is a smaller venue but probably a little bit more intimate. Got my daughter with me as my date tonight.”
CityStage has been presenting live performances at 150 Bridge Street in downtown Springfield for the last 20 years.
