HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – A Springfield man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injures after his car caught on fire on the northbound lane on I-91 Friday morning.Northbound lanes were closed after police say the 66-year-old man’s car caught on fire around 7:36 a.m.State Police tweeted that road the closures were near the 19.8 mile mark in Holyoke.
The car fire caused heavy delays for drivers traveling at that time.
The Holyoke Fire Department assisted in putting the fire out and clearing the road.
