SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Drug Enforcement Administration was in Springfield Monday night, as part of an investigation at a home on Kent Road.
A 22News crew was in the area around 11 Monday night, and saw DEA agents, as well as environmental service vehicles in the area of the home, which is near the intersection of Kent Road and Eastwood Drive. Some of the people working there were wearing hazmat suits.
DEA Special Agent Timothy Desmond told 22News the DEA had been conducting “court-authorized activity” in Springfield in connection to a federal investigation, but he couldn’t provide additional information.
22News has also contacted the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and we are waiting to hear back from them.
