Hampden County District Attorney Anthony Gulluni kicked off his re-election campaign Thursday night.
The event took place at Cedars Banquet Hall in Springfield. Supporters of the DA, local politicians, and members of law enforcement including Sherriff Nick Cocchi were in attendance.
DA Gulluni said another four-year term would give him the time needed to tackle some of the major problems in the county.
“I think the major issues facing us continue to be opiate use and the addiction crisis first and foremost, but violent crime and public safety is really what we continue to focus on,” DA Gulluni told 22News.
DA Gulluni was first sworn in as Hampden County DA in 2015.
