Local candidates making last minute rounds with 1 week to elections

Hampden County

It’s campaign crunch time as we are a week away from elections.

Incumbent Rep. Angelo Puppolo has held the 12th District seat for six terms. He’s being challenged by Independent Candidate and Real Estate Agent Donald Flannery.

Candidates are making their rounds and trying to set themselves apart from their opponents.

For the 12th District seat, which covers parts Wilbraham, parts of Springfield and East Longmeadow.

Flannery running for a seat, he ran for nearly 30-years-ago, while Puppolo is trying to maintain his seat for a seventh term.

“Represent the people as their judiciary, putting their interest above mine,” Donald Flannery told 22News. “And I’m putting my money where my mouth is.”

Flannery is running on transparency and reliability while Puppolo told 22News he’s running on experience and his ability to work across the aisle.
