SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Massachusetts State Lottery is looking for a new location, with their lease on their current downtown Springfield office expiring in a few months.
Lottery Director of Communications Christian Teja told 22News that the lottery will continue to have a customer service location in western Massachusetts after the lease of their 20 Fort Street office ends at the end of May. The Lottery is currently working with the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance to find a new space.
"Lottery management identified the expiration of the lease as an opportunity to assess operational efficiencies. The Lottery plans to continue having a customer service location in the Springfield area where customers can claim prizes and purchase products," Teja wrote in a statement.
One thing that will be changing, however, is that warehouse operations currently fulfilled in Springfield will move to the Lottery's facility in Worcester.
All workers employed at the Springfield office will be able to maintain their jobs with the Lottery.
