Massachusetts State Police: What could go wrong?

Hampden County

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Massachusetts State Police are again reminding residents the dangers of driving with an unsecured or unsafe load.

The reminder comes after a driver was recently stopped on I-291 Springfield with an overloaded pickup truck. State police say the driver was also cited for tire tread depth violation and an inspection violation.

Monday morning, state police say they stopped a driver returning home from the Cape who was traveling with an unsafe load. In this case, multiple kayaks were positioned on top of a car.

“Please make your vehicle safe before taking to the roads, for your safety, and the safety of all those around you,” state police wrote on Facebook.
