Parishioners at Sacred Heart in Agawam make rosaries that are distributed to the faithful all over the world. Ninety-two-year-old Norma Wescott began the rosary ministry 20-years-ago.
Norma and her fellow parishioners at Sacred Heart have made about 25,000 rosaries during their twice-a-month workshops.
“We have to have peace in the world,” she told 22News. “We have to have love in our hearts for our neighbors, our friends, our relatives, our family.”
Pastoral Minister Deb Brianesco echoed Norma’s sentiment, saying “The value is that you want to bring the families back together. You want to bring them back to Christ, to bring them to wholeness, to loving, [and] bring hope back in their life.”
These rosaries will become part of the millions distributed in the 17 countries served by the Holy Cross Family Ministries based in North Easton, Massachusetts.
