Navy Week events continue at the Big E

The U.S. Navy is bringing their Navy Week festivities to Springfield and the surrounding communities this week. 

Navy Week started Monday and will continue through Saturday with outreach events planned for each day of the week.

According to the Navy website, Navy weeks are hosted across the U.S. and designed to give people the opportunity to learn about the Navy, its people, and its importance. 

You can see various performances, sailors, and demonstrations Tuesday at the Big E during the following times: 

  • 11AM-7PM – NRD New England recruiting booth
  • 11AM-7PM – Sea Perch Underwater Robotic demonstrations
  • 1PM – USS Constitution Pike Team/Gun Deck demonstrations
  • 1PM-7PM – Naval History and Heritage Command display
  • 2PM-4PM – Hometown Sailors Fairgoer Interaction with Navy Personnel
  • 2PM-7PM – U.S. Navy Meteorology and Oceanography Command display
  • 3PM – USS Constitution Pike Team/Gun Deck demonstrations
  • 4PM-7PM – U.S. Naval Academy U. S. Naval Academy Admissions
  • 4PM – Ceremonial Guard Drill Performance on Navy footprint
  • 5PM – USS Constitution Pike Team/Gun Deck demonstrations
  • 6:30PM-8PM – SOCM Slabinski Leap Frogs Demo Jump
  • 7:15PM – Leap Frogs Big E Parking Lot Jump
