New members appointed to MGM Springfield’s Community Advisory Committee

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – MGM Springfield has appointed three new members to serve on the Community Advisory Committee, which provides recommendations to MGM and city officials on casino matters that afffect the city and its residents.

The newly-appointed members include Bishop Talbert Swan, Pastor of Spring of Hope Church of God in Christ and President of Greater Springfield NAACP; Springfield native Seth Stratton, Vice President and Legal Counsel, MGM Springfield; and downtown resident Arlen Carballo, Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, MGM Springfield.

The Community Advisory Committee is made up of 11 members and was developed as part of the city’s Host Community Agreement with MGM. Members are appointed by the mayor, Springfield City Council, MGM Springfield, affiliated Chambers of Commerce of Greater Springfield, and the Massachusetts Latino Chamber of Commerce.
