SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – No injuries were reported after the Springfield Fire Department was called to a kitchen fire around 5 p.m. Wednesday at an apartment building at 36 Belmont Avenue.

The Springfield Arson and Bomb Squad is now investigating the cause.

Springfield Fire Commissioner BJ Calvi told 22news that two families are without a home as a result of the fire.
