One person injured, 4 others without home after fire on Moore Street in Ludlow

Hampden County

A woman suffered injuries in a house fire on Moore Street Tuesday evening. No word on how serious her injuries are.

Moore St. was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Fire officials in Ludlow told 22News crews were called to 461 Moore St., where they found a duplex fully engulfed in flames.

Crews worked to put out the house fire for over an hour. Westover Air Reserve Base, Belchertown, Granby, Wilbraham, Bondsville fire departments assisted with mutual aid.

Red Cross’ Mary Nathan told 22News the Red Cross dispatched its Disaster Action Team. They’re helping four adults from one family with a place to stay and emergency needs.

The woman who suffered injuries is said to also be a resident of the home.

The state Fire Marshal was called in to determine how the fire started.
