An open house was held Thursday night at Holyoke Community College for prospective students on the autism spectrum.
The Students on the Autism Spectrum Club and HCC Office of Admissions hosted the open house on campus.
Members of the club lead campus tours and the admissions staff gave information on academic and support programs available at the college.
The president of Students on the Autism Spectrum Club told 22News the club strives to be a supportive and judgment-free space.
“We’re always there for each other, to educate the college and even to educate ourselves,” said Tiffany Cavanaugh.
The club also said Thursday night’s open house is one of the many ways they support autistic students make the transition to college.
