A night of fun and laughter for a good cause in Holyoke Friday night.
Nearly 200 people gathered at the Log Cabin to raise money for the Pioneer Valley United Service Organization.
The night of comedy was sponsored by Columbia Gas with performances from comedians Jimmy Dunn and Kelly McFarland.
The USO strengthens America’s military members by keeping them connected to family, home, and country throughout their service.
Technical Sergeant Sharon Meckel at Westover Air Reserve Base told 22News, “It’s just having that feeling of being away from home but its a home away from home. The USO just really likes to sponsor anything that they can do to make active serving military feel more like they’re home.”
22News anchor Barry Kriger was Friday night’s Master of Ceremonies.
The Pioneer Valley USO serves the Service Members of Westover Air Reserve Base and the surrounding military communities.
