Pioneer Valley USO to benefit from month long fundraising drive

Hampden County

The Pioneer Valley USO will benefit from a month-long fundraising drive by Cooper’s Gifts Apparel home in Agawam.

Cooper’s hopes to raise thousands of dollars through customer donations matched in part by the store, money the USO uses to help military families from Westover Air Reserve Base and surrounding military communities.

Response has taught manager Mary Kay O’Grady the extent of support the USO enjoys.

“People love the USO, it’s a well-known name,” Kay told 22News. “They’re donating to a charitable cause. Anything military related are more they’re willing to help and give what they can.”

The current USO fundraising drive extends through July.

This includes the purchase of a raffle to win desirable products,  just by donating daily necessities for service families in need.
