It was a competition for money-making ideas in Holyoke Thursday evening.

“SPARK E-for-All Holyoke” hosted its first entrepreneur Pitch Contest at the HCC MGM Culinary Arts Institute Thursday night.

The free event gave several aspiring business owners the chance to pitch their ideas to an audience. A panel of judges chose the top three winners, while the audience got the chance to pick the fan favorite.

Jona Ruiz, the program manager, told 22News, “A pitch contest is a great way to test your ideas and get feedback from a variety of individuals.”

All prize money won during Thursday’s pitch contest will go towards participants’ business and non-profit ideas.
